Royalty reports
How reporting and payment work for sales-royalty deals.
What is a sales royalty?
Instead of (or on top of) a fixed price, you receive a share of the buyer's sales as a royalty. The royalty rate and payment day (the Nth of each month) are fixed when the contract is made — either the values set on the listing or adjusted through a negotiation offer.
Payment day — when to pay each month
Every royalty contract includes a payment day (one day from the 1st to the 28th of each month). Each month, by the payment day, the buyer reports the previous month's sales (1st to last day) and pays the calculated royalty. Reports cover the month containing the start date through the month containing the last day of use. For the first and last months, report only sales on dates within the contract period. For example, for a 3-month contract starting May 15 (through August 14), May covers sales from the 15th–31st and August covers the 1st–14th.
Reporting and payment
- 1Each month, the buyer reports the previous month's sales and pays the royalty by the payment day.
- 2An admin confirms the payment.
- 3The confirmed royalty, minus the platform fee, is paid to the seller.
You can attach proof of sales (PDF, JPG, PNG, 10MB per file) when reporting. After paying, tap Request quick confirmation and an admin will check it first. Payment is confirmed even if you don't tap it.
If a report is wrong
- Before payment is confirmed — the buyer can edit the reported sales directly; the royalty is recalculated and the seller is notified.
- Before payment is confirmed — the seller can reject a report that differs from actual sales. The buyer reports that month again.
- After payment is confirmed — the seller can file an objection with a reason and supporting files. An admin gets additional proof from the buyer, then corrects or dismisses it.
- Once corrected, the difference between the corrected sales and the amount already paid is either paid additionally or deducted from the seller’s payout.
